Terms & Conditions

Last updated 1 September 2026
Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. These terms describe how Gantry actually bills and behaves today. They have not been checked by a legal professional and should be before they are relied on.

These terms apply when you use Gantry. If you are signing up on behalf of a venue or company, you are agreeing to them for that business, and confirming you are allowed to.

1. What Gantry is

Gantry turns a phone into a barcode scanner for stocktaking. You scan products, enter quantities, and export the result as a CSV for your own books or stock system.

Gantry records the counts you enter. It does not check them, value them, or reconcile them against your POS. The numbers are yours and you are responsible for them — including checking an export before you act on it.

2. Accounts

You need an email address and a password. Keep the password to yourself: activity is attributed to the account that performed it, and that attribution is the whole basis of the activity log.

One person per login. Signing in on a new device signs the account out of the previous one. Accounts are not for sharing — if two people need to count, they need two logins.

An organisation has one owner, who controls billing, roles, and who can count. Owners and managers can create logins for their staff.

3. The trial

New organisations start on a free trial. No card is required and nothing is charged.

The trial allows five products per stocktake. You can create as many stocktakes as you like, each with its own five, and exports are not limited. Counting beyond five products in one stocktake requires a paid plan.

The trial has no time limit today. We may change or end it for new signups, but we will not remove data you have already counted.

4. Plans and prices

Prices below are in Australian dollars and exclude any applicable taxes. You are charged in the currency for the billing country you chose, and the amount in your currency is shown at checkout before you pay.

PlanMonthlyYearlyIncludes
Single-venue $29 $290 One venue and one user — the owner. Unlimited products and stocktakes.
Multi-venue $59 $590 Unlimited venues and locations. Set up as many people as you like at no charge per person.
Extra person counting at the same time
(Multi-venue only)
$29 each $290 each The base Multi-venue plan covers the owner counting. Each additional person counting at the same moment is charged.

The distinction in that last row is the one to understand, because it is what you are actually buying: how many people you set up is unlimited and free; how many can be counting simultaneously is what is billed. Ten staff with logins who never count at the same time cost the same as one.

Changing how many can count at once

You can increase it at any time and the change takes effect immediately. Each increase is billed for a minimum of one month, so you cannot add people for a busy weekend and remove them on the Monday. Adding more restarts that month. Decreases take effect once the minimum period has passed.

Billing country

Your billing country sets your currency. It can be changed once every 30 days. That limit exists to stop the country being switched to a cheaper currency immediately before checkout.

5. Billing

Payments are handled by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically — monthly or yearly, depending on what you chose — until cancelled. Yearly plans are charged in full up front.

If a payment fails, Stripe will retry. If it keeps failing the subscription ends and section 6 applies.

Manage your payment method, billing address and invoices yourself through the billing portal, reachable from Account in the app.

6. Cancelling

You can cancel at any time through the billing portal. There is no cancellation fee and no notice period.

Read this before you cancel. When a subscription ends, the organisation is locked: your data is kept, but you cannot open stocktakes or export them until you subscribe again. Export anything you still need before cancelling. Resubscribing restores access to the data as it was.

To remove the data as well, use Delete account in the app. That cancels the subscription immediately and deletes the organisation's stocktakes. It cannot be undone.

7. Refunds

We do not give refunds for part of a period you have already paid for, or for time you did not use the service. The trial exists so you can find out whether Gantry suits your venue before paying anything.

If something is genuinely broken, tell us — we would rather fix it or refund it than argue. Nothing in these terms excludes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which apply regardless of what this section says.

8. Acceptable use

Don't share logins, try to reach another organisation's data, attack or overload the service, or resell Gantry as your own product. We may suspend an account that does.

9. Availability

We aim to keep Gantry available and working, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. It depends on providers we do not control, and on your device and internet connection. Scanning needs a working camera and a connection to save.

We may change how features work. If a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell you.

10. Your data

Your stocktake data is yours. We do not sell it or use it for anything other than providing the service. How it is handled is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Keep your own copies of anything that matters to you. CSV export exists precisely so your records do not depend on us continuing to exist.

11. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Gantry is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from stock figures you entered, exported or acted on. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months.

Again: this does not limit rights that cannot be limited, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for material changes we will tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Gantry after a change means you accept it.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of Victoria, Australia, and its courts have jurisdiction.
